The world never knew what to make of Strasbourg, France’s CHAOS ECHŒS, but to be fair, the group never made it easy on any listener. Now they are choosing to say farewell.

Remains is a collection of live recordings. The first disc, Ecstasy with the Nonexistents, is a soundboard recording of a full live set from 2018. Assembled with great care, this set list was only performed in concert once, reinventing the songs, re-arranging pieces from Transient and Mouvement. The second disc, IIIII, is a compilation of studio outtakes, alternate versions, and live recordings spanning 2012 to 2016.

This, then, was CHAOS ECHŒS — never what you expected, often more than what you were ready for, but always marking a path for the truly intrepid to follow. They may be gone, but the path remains.
